Finishing up 2012 (Part Two)

Hey guys, so in my last post you saw some of the best paintings I did in the last two months of 2012, in this one I want to show you some things I made digitally.

Those first three I drew in photoshop, and this last one, a portrait of Sir Patrick Stewart as Jean-Luc Picard on Star Trek was done in Illustrator.

Finishing up 2012 (Part One)

Hey guys,

I know I haven't posted here in a while, sorry about that. I wanted to keep you guys updated with how I'm doing though. 2012 was a great year for me. Artistically I advanced so much more than in any prior year, and I want to show you some of my favorite works from the past two months. In this first post I'll be sharing some of the paintings I've done.

"Strange Graveyard" Gig Poster

Hey Guys! How are you? This one hour sketch was for a club at my school where we meet and compete while watching a demo. The challenge was to draw something unexpected in a graveyard, however later the woman who was doing the demo said the phrase "Strange Graveyard" a little while later and that really stuck with me, so I combined that with a llama and a zombie. I was thinking about Kevin Dart's work while doing this sketch.

Also if you guys are interested I have a tumblr

Breakfast in the hurricane

This project was for my Illustration I class. I had to illustrate breakfast in a graphic style. I chose to represent a bright, warm breakfast while a hurricane thundered outside. I painted in in acrylic over a series of 34 different stencils that I made for the project. My hand and wrist were killing me after sitting there cutting out all those shapes, but it was totally worth it. I was fairly happy with the result, especially the tablecloth and window.
